About the practice
Medisch Centrum Wieringermeer is a pharmacy practice in Wieringerwerf, where accessible and personal contact are central to our care. You as a patient are our top priority and we are committed to thinking along with you. In short, a pleasant practice where you are welcome and will experience the professional care you require.
Opening hours
The practice is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.
General practitioners

Assistants
There are doctors and assistants working at the practice. They arrange the daily routine to efficiently provide your best care possible. You can contact them with many practical and medical questions. You can schedule an appointment with the doctor’s assistant during consultation hours for, among other things, removing stitches, flushing ears, blood pressure measurements, injections, smears, wound care and treating warts, etc. You can make an appointment for this by telephone.
Make an appointment
You can make an appointment with a GP by telephone, via an assistant. In order to plan the best consultation time, we ask you to call between 08:00 and 10:30 or 13:30 and 14:30.
If you are unable to attend your consultation at the agreed time? We ask you to inform us as soon as possible so an alternative can be arranged or your cancellation registered.
Appointment at the practice
You will see the GP in person at the practice. The GP can examine you physically and, if necessary, additional examinations can be carried out at the same location.
Appointment by telephone
You have a question for which a physical examination is not necessary or you want to discuss your clinical situation with the GP you can be called back at an agreed time.

You have a short, specific question? Then use the E-consult via the website. Please note that these messages will not be treated urgently.
Home visit
You will be visited by the GP at your home. The home visit is specifically intended for people who are unable to come to the practice. You request a home visit from the assistant.
First aid
For first aid (wounds, burns, etc.) you can always come directly to the practice; if you call in advance we will take your arrival time into account.
Repeat prescriptions
You can request repeat prescriptions 24 hours a day. You can do this via the prescription line (option 2), via the website ‘Uw Zorg Online’ or by putting a cut-out label in the letterbox at the main entrance. See the website for further information.
Submitting urine
You can drop-off urine samples at the practice before 10:30 in a well-sealed urine container with a label including your name and date of birth. The urine should preferably be your first morning sample. It must be provided within 2 hours and have been stored in a refrigerator.
The results are processed in the morning and you can agree with the assistant how the result will be communicated to you
Practice assistants
At the request of a GP, an appointment can be made with one of the practice assistants. They are there to support the GP in your health care.
Practice assistants: Chronic conditions
The practice assistants guide patients with long-term conditions including: Asthma-COPD, Cardiovascular diseases, Diabetes Mellitus and Smoking cessation.
Practice assistant: Elderly care
These assistants visit people over 75 years of age. During home visits we will discuss how you are doing. With this consultation we aim to assist people in growing older as healthily and independently as possible in their own living environment with appropriate help and support provided.
Practice assistant-GGZ
These assistants focus on supporting or supplementing GP care for patients with psychological complaints.
New patients
The practice is open for registration of new patients with the practice’s working area covering the entire Wieringermeer region. You can register online or pick up a form from the practice. After completing the form, an introductory meeting can be scheduled with one of the GPs.

In case of life-threatening emergency: CALL 112
In case of a medical emergency during the practices opening hours, select option 1 from the phone menu. You will then be connected directly through to an assistant.
